Twist arranged face-to-face interactions between the corporate world and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic small businesses, to foster potential for future business relationships. After an introductory session, delegates visited different ethnic minority communities in East and South East London. They met with business people to listen to their needs – and learn about their capabilities.

 

Twist devised and delivered this session to enhance relationships between the corporate world and BAME small businesses, to the benefit of both. The meetings enhanced mutual understanding and helped both sides realise the potential advantages of business links. Delegates then participated in an intensive workshop session to investigate the issues and plan the next steps, including forming profitable relationships with businesses encountered on the course. Eight out of 10 delegates have agreed to contribute to a minority business development plan to help local businesses get a bigger slice of the cake.
