What is it about?
The challenge was to explore theoretical investments in the London community. The group investigated potential partnerships including contributing to healthcare in prison (HMP Pentonville), supporting children excluded from school (Kids Company and the From Boyhood to Manhood Foundation) and mentoring refugee shelf-help projects in Hammersmith. The visits stimulated many creative ideas, which were explored more fully in a facilitated session.
What are the benefits?
In today’s market, reputation and corporate values are important, but a strong ethical framework depends on an organisation’s leaders being truly engaged with these issues. This project generated creative insights into leadership style, individual commitment to corporate responsibility and company-wide strategic development. Leadership and staff development are vital for building both sustainable corporate values systems and more productive relationships with the wider world. |
